Campaign 2012: New Rules of the Road?

As the symposia have developed, the Frey Institute has sought to tailor its message to its primary audience: high school and college students. Today's "digital generation" does almost everything online, from watching movies to banking and communicating with friends. The Fall 2011 symposium addresses how to engage young voters through social media, online voting for primary elections and other means. Speakers included Andrew Roos, Google's account executive for elections and issue advocacy; Adam Kravitz, CEO and co-founder of eVoter Inc.; and Thomas Mann, the W. Averell Harriman Chair and a senior fellow in governance studies at The Brookings Institution. Ann B. Helmuth, president of the League of Women Voters of Orange County, also spoke to questions of redistricting and campaign finance.
